Office of Delhi Health Minister on Sunday informed that Minister's fever has subsided and oxygen level has improved. Witnessing the improvements, doctors are like to shift Jain to the General Ward by tomorrow.
Satyendra Jain had undergone plasma therapy at the Max Hospital after his condition worsened due to coronavirus on Friday. Jain had tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday.
The minister was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital in Tahirpur on Monday night after he was found to be suffering from a high fever and low oxygen saturation.
Initially, he had tested Covid-19 negative but due to repeated symptoms, Jain got tested again. He had tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday, a day after he was admitted to RGSSH, after running a high-grade fever and suffering a sudden drop in oxygen levels.
According to doctors who treated him at RGSSH, Jain was kept full-time on oxygen support after his oxygen saturation level (Spo2) had dipped.
"We have put him fully on oxygen support as his Spo2 level had fallen to 89 at one point. The normal level is about 95. Also, he has been diagnosed with pneumonia, so we decided to shift him to an ICU at the hospital," a senior official of the hospital told PTI.

However, the minister, who has no comorbidities, was found to be suffering from pneumonia, a known Covid-19 complication, and also complained of breathlessness and giddiness from Friday morning. Soon, he was shifted to Max Hospital’s ICU and kept on oxygen support.
Earlier this week, Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Kalkaji, Atishi tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. The 39-year-old AAP representative had complained of mild fever on Tuesday after which she underwent medical tests for Coronavirus.
As per the reports, Atishi is under home quarantine after the test reports on Wednesday declared her to be COVID-19 positive
