New Delhi: The sixth International Yoga Day is being marked across India and the world, on the theme "Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family”. The Ministry of AYUSH has also come up with a new initiative in this direction by organizing a video blogging completion called My Life-My Yoga.

The focus of the competition is on the transformative impact of Yoga on the lives of individuals. It comes as one of the activities related to the observation of the sixth international Yoga day celebrations. Those interested can apply for the contest till June 21.  How to participate:

Anybody from India and across the world can participate.

The participants have to make a 3-minute video on three yogic practices which can be any of the following: Kriya, asana, pranayama, bandha or mudra.

The video should include a short message or description on how the practice influenced their life.

You can upload this video to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with the contest hashtag. You can get detailed information of this competition on the Yoga Portal of the Ministry of AYUSH.


Entries to the contest can also be submitted through two other channels: MyGov platform and the contest website http://www.mylifemyyoga2020.com/.

Early in the morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and advocated the use fo Yoga to battle Covid-19 pandemic He said, many people all over the world infected by the deadly virus are benefitting from Yoga. He claimed they are gaining strength in fighting the disease through this meditation.
