Delhi Election Results: Constituency-Wise Full List Of Winning Candidates Of AAP, BJP

While early trends gave inroads to the saffron party in Delhi with leads on over 20 seats, second half of the counting was overtook by AAP and the party maintained the lead throughout to secure a massive mandate to form government in the national capital for the third consecutive time.

New Delhi: As counting of votes draws to a close, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all set to form government in the national capital after clinching another landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly Polls by decimating both Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress by huge margins. While early trends gave inroads to the saffron party in Delhi with leads on over 20 seats, second half of the counting was overtook by AAP and the party maintained the lead throughout to secure a massive mandate to form government in the national capital for the third consecutive time. Congress, on the other day, conceded defeat earlier in the day, after fairing dismally in drawing a blank once again. AAP dominated the trends throughout the day despite some tensed moments with some of its key candidates including Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Atishi and Raghav Chadha trailing for sometime. However, all the key candidates of Kejriwal's party managed to secure win later in the day. After picking quite some pace earlier in the day, BJP had to face upset across national capital. Some of party's prominent candidates such as Kapil Mishra from Model Town lost to AAP's Akhilesh Pati Tripathi and Hari Nagar candidate Tajinder Singh Bagga from Rajinder Nagar lost to AAP's Raj Kumari Dhillon. However, BJP's Vijender Gupta managed to retain BJP's stronghold, Rohini, by defeating AAP's Rajesh Nama Bansiwala. From being a political force that ruled the national capital for 15 years in a row, the Congress stands decimated after the Delhi election results, failing to win for the second consecutive time even a seat and its vote share getting reduced to its lowest ever of 4.27 per cent. The grand old party of Indian politics was out of the race in each of the 70 constituencies by distant margins with 63 of its candidates losing their security deposits..
