Delhi Airport On High Alert As Pro-Khalistani Group Threatens 2 London Bound Air India Flights
Acting on the information, the Delhi Police, along with the airport authorities, Air India and the CISF which guards the airport, have been put on alert.
New Delhi: Following the terror threat from a pro-Khalitani group, Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has been put on high alert. The terrorist group warned the airport authorities of the National Capital that it won't allow two Air India flights to reach London tomorrow. According to the Delhi Police, the threat has been issued by a group called the Khalistan Commando Force. Speaking to media about the matter, DCP Airport, Rajiv Ranjan said, "Terrorist Gurupatvant Singh Pannu, who is associated with the Khalistan Commando Force, has made threat calls to several people and said that on November 5, the group won't let two Air India planes to land in London."
Acting on the information, the Delhi Police, along with the airport authorities, Air India, and the CISF which guards the airport, have been put on alert.
The same kind of threat was received last year in 2019 when Article 370 was abrogated, and the state of Jammu and Kashmir was made Union Territory. Terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad threatened to revenge against the scrapping of Article 370 from Kashmir.

The November 5 threat from the Khalistani group coincides with the 36th anniversary of the the1984 anti-Sikh riots in New Delhi.
Anti-Sikh riots in 1984 against Sikhs in India took place in response to the assassination of Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards. The ruling Indian National Congress had been inactive complicity with the mob, as to the organization of the riots. Government estimates project that about 2,800 Sikhs were killed in Delhi and 3,350 nationwide, whilst independent sources estimate the number of deaths at about 8,000–17,000.
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport is one of the largest and busiest in the country. The airport handles more than 1200 flights from national and international carriers daily in normal.
