30-Year-Old Dies After Kite String Slits His Throat: Delhi Police
Sumit Ranga, a resident of Rohini Sector-3, Avantika on Monday crashed his motorcycle into a kite string on the Haiderpur Flyover, severing his throat.
In the Maurya Enclave neighbourhood of northwest Delhi, a 30-year-old man died after having his neck cut with a kite string, according to police.

Immediately after being taken to the nearby Saroj Hospital, Ranga, the proprietor of a hardware store, was pronounced dead, according to a senior police official.
When questioned, the deceased's father said that his son had been riding his motorbike home from Burari when a sharp string sliced his neck as he approached the Haiderpur Flyover, according to the investigating officer.
"During enquiry, father of the deceased stated that his son Sumit was coming home from Burari on his motorcycle and when he reached at Haiderpur Flyover, a sharp string slit his throat. They have a hardware shop at Burari," the police said.
"On the basis of MLC and circumstances, a case vide FIR No. 607/22 U/s 304A was registered in PS Maurya Enclave and investigation of the case is in progress," the police further added.
Earlier in June, the Police arrested the driver of the Mahindra Scorpio who allegedly hit a biker around Arjangarh Metro station area in South Delhi. On June 5, 2022, a fellow rider posted a video of the incident to social media, which quickly went viral.
The defendant has been held on suspicion of attempted murder, and a case had been opened under IPC Section 307 at the Fatehpur Beri police station.
