Though there was no official confirmation from the Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, hazy pictures and distant videos showed people lined up in a terrace done up with white flowers. On Instagram, Smriti Irani took a jibe on the lack of photographs.

NEW DELHI: As Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh finally got married in Italy's scenic Lake Como on Wednesday in a fiercely private ceremony leaving the everybody breathlessly waiting for scraps of information, Union minister Smriti Irani took on Instagram to share a picture on the lack of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh wedding photographs. Last month, in a post shared on their respective social media accounts, the couple had revealed that the wedding celebrations will take on November 14 and 15. "With the blessings of our families, it gives us immense joy in sharing that are wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. Lots of love, Deepika and Ranveer," the post read. On Instagram, the Union Minister had said, “when you have waited for deepveer wedding pics for too longgggg ????‍♀️”.

There was also a glimpse of the couple dressed in shades of white with reports suggesting that day one was about Konkani wedding rituals while day two would be a Sindhi ceremony. While Deepika is a Konkani. Ranveer belongs to a Mumbai-based Sindhi family. The couple declared the dates on social media in October after months of speculation but the ceremony itself was cloaked in secrecy. According to reports, only 40 people, including Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Farah Khan, have been invited for the wedding and no guests allowed to post any photographs
