Covid Cases In India: Maharashtra Records Marginal Rise, Delhi Logs 1,603 New Patients

There were 1,603 cases of COVID-19 in Delhi on Thursday, with a positive rate of 26.75 percent and three deaths.

India on Thursday breached the 12,000 mark and reported 12,591 fresh infections of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of active cases to 65,289, as per the data shared by the health ministry, reported news agency PTI.

Maharashtra Reports 1,113 New Covid cases

On Thursday, Maharashtra recorded 1,113 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 6,129. The state health department bulletin stated that three fatalities have also been reported within the last 24 hours.

The death rate is currently at 1.82 percent, and the total number of Covid-19 cases is currently 81,59,506.

In addition, 1,083 patients had recovered from the infection, and 80,04,835 patients had been discharged thus far, according to the statement. Maharashtra's recovery rate is presently 98.11 percent.

Out of 8,68,50,901 laboratory samples, 81,59,506 have tested positive (09.39 percent) for Covid till today.

Delhi Logs 1,603 Covid Cases

According to information provided by the health department, there were 1,603 cases of COVID-19 in Delhi on Thursday, with a positive rate of 26.75 percent and three deaths.

The number of people killed by the pandemic in the national capital increased to 26,581 as a result of the new deaths. The data indicated that 390 of the 7,976 Covid beds are occupied.

The city reported 1,757 new cases and six deaths on Wednesday, with a positive rate of 28.63 percent.

On Tuesday, the national capital had 1,537 cases of COVID-19, with a positive rate of 26.54 percent.

Mumbai Reports 200 Plus New Cases For Third Consecutive Day, One Death

Mumbai's coronavirus-positive cases increased to 11,61,343 on Thursday, according to the city civic body.

The infection caused the death of one person during the day, bringing the total number of fatalities to 19,756.

This is for the third day straight that the city has announced in excess of 200 Coronavirus cases. It recorded 234 cases and one fatality on Wednesday.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) reported in its bulletin that the city's recovery count increased to 11,40,063 after 273 patients recovered from the infection within the past 24 hours.

It stated that Mumbai's active COVID-19 count now stands at 1,524, with a recovery rate of 98.2% and an overall growth rate of positive cases of 0.0180% between April 13 and 19.

It stated that the COVID-19 case doubling rate for the city is 3,732 days.

Nashik Sees Eight COVID-19 Cases

The Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra's Nashik increased by eight on Thursday to reach 4,82,920, while the loss of life stood unaltered at 8,904, an official said.

He added that the recovery count increased by 12 and reached 4,73,945, resulting in a 71-case active caseload for the district.
