India Registers Decline In Coronavirus Cases. Records 30K Infections, 350 Deaths In Last 24 Hrs
India has registered a decline in Coronavirus cases as Kerala records19,622 new infections in last 24 hrs.
Corona cases update: After witnessing continuous surge in Coronavirus cases, the country registered in decline on Tuesday. India has reported 30,941 fresh COVID-19 cases, 36,275 recoveries, and 350 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Kerala on Monday recorded 19,622 new Covid cases and 132 deaths, pushing the caseload to 40,27,030 and the death toll to 20,673. Health Minister Veena George said 1,17,216 Covid samples were tested in the last 24 hours and the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) was 16.74 per cent.
The national capital reported 20 cases of the coronavirus and one death on Monday, while the positivity rate stood at 0.04 per cent, according to data shared by the health department here. The capital had not recorded any fatality due to the infection in the past four days. The low number of cases can also be attributed to fewer tests (51,387) conducted the previous day. With the new cases, the overall infection tally in the city climbs to 14,37,736. Over 14.12 lakh patients have recovered from the disease. The death toll stands at 25,081
Maharashtra reported 3,741 new coronavirus cases and 52 fresh fatalities on Monday, taking the infection tally to 64,60,680 and the toll to 1,37,209, a state health department official said.
The official said 4,696 patients were discharged from hospitals across the state in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative number of recovered patients to 62,68,112.
The state, which now has 51,834 active cases, has 2,88,489 people in home isolation and another 2,299 in institutional quarantine, he said.
Maharashtra's COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.02 per cent, while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent. The cumulative number of coronavirus tests conducted in the state climbed to 5,38,12,827, of with 1,63,214 were conducted in the last 24 hours, the official said.
Coronavirus tests are generally low over the weekends as compared to other days and this translates into a drop in positive cases on Mondays.
