CBI conducts raid at Sports Authority of India office, arrests Director SAI & 3 others
There were complaints filed against a few officers for accepting bribes for work approval. Following the complaint, the SAI asked the CBI to conduct a probe into the matter.

CBI conducts RAID at official premises of Sports Authority of India
NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on Thursday, carried out a raid at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) following bribery allegations against some of the officials. Four SAI officials including Director SAI and two private persons were arrested during the ongoing raid, in connection with alleged corruption in the transport department in the Authority.
As learned from several reports, there were complaints filed against a few officers for accepting bribes for work approval. Following the complaint, the SAI asked the CBI to conduct a probe into the matter. The reports were received 2 months ago that bribes were being accepted by some people in the organisation. Currently, CBI is questioning some officials in this regard.
About the SAI The Sports Authority of India is the supreme national sports body of India, established by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of India for the development of sport in the country. It has 2 Sports Academic institutions, 10 SAI Regional Centres (SRC), 14 Centre of Excellence (COE/COX), 56 Sports Training Centres (STC) and 20 Special Area Games (SAG).Sources on CBI raid at SAI office: Reports were received 2 months ago that bribes were being accepted by some people in the organisation.
