Gurugram To Get Projects Worth Rs 191 Cr On Wednesday
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will virtually inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 42 projects worth more than Rs 191 crore for Gurugram on January 24.
The event will be attended by Union Minister of State and Gurugram MP Rao Inderjit Singh, Haryana Energy Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala, and local MLAs.
Deputy Commissioner Gurugram, Nishant Kumar Yadav said, these projects focus on education, public health, roads, and water management in Gurugram.
"During the event, 13 projects completed at a cost of about Rs 31.5 crore will be inaugurated and the foundation stone of 29 projects to be completed at a cost of about Rs 160 crore will be laid," Yadav said.
Supreme Court Takes Rises Eyebrow Over Non-Listing Of Adani Power Case, Registry Lists It For January 24
The Supreme Court on Tuesday got upset with its registry for not listing a matter related to Adani Power despite a judicial order.
As the bench of Justices Aniruddha Bose and PV Sanjay Kumar began the day's proceedings, it asked senior advocate Dushyant Dave about the Adani Power case.
Dave, who appears for Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited in the case, told the apex court that when lawyers associated with him approached the registry and asked about the matter, officials there said they had no instructions for listing it.
"If the government were to ignore the court's orders, it would be treated as contempt, but when the registry defies the court's orders, should it not be viewed seriously?" Dave asked the bench.
Dense Fog Likely In Delhi On Wednesday
A layer of dense fog is likely to engulf the national capital on Wednesday while the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 19 and 7 degrees Celsius, the weather department said.
Delhi on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 19.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 6.9 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average, the India Meteorological Department said.
The national capital is experiencing cold day conditions and dense fog in the morning and during nighttime, the IMD said.
According to the Indian Railways, 28 Delhi-bound trains were delayed by one to five hours due to fog in parts of northern India on Tuesday morning.
