Breaking News LIVE, 25 August, 2021: Deepak Prasad, State Election Commissioner (SEC) on Wednesday announced that Panchayat polls in Bihar will be held in a total of 11 phases. The first phase of voting will be held on September 24 and the last phase of voting will be held on December 12.
Raigad Magistrate Court has granted bail to Union Minister Narayan Rane in one of the FIRs filed against him for allegedly making derogatory statements against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Maharashtra Police earlier in the day arrested Rane for his 'slap slur' remark against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, as an aggressive Shiv Sena protested vociferously all over the state.
PM Modi Reviews 8 Projects, 'One Nation One Ration Card' Scheme
Chairing the 37th PRAGATI meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday reviewed eight projects having a cumulative cost of Rs 1.26 lakh crore and spanned over 14 states as well as the 'One Nation One Ration Card' scheme.
While reviewing the ONORC scheme, he asked officials to explore the multiple utilities of the technological platform developed under the programme to ensure the provision of a wide array of benefits to the citizens, the PMO said.
