KEJRIWAL TO ANNOUNCE 'BIG SCHEMES' IN MP

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be making significant welfare announcements at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rally in Bhopal's BHEL Dussehra Maidan, marking the start of the party's campaign for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls to be held later this year, according to a party functionary. The AAP aims to make a difference in Madhya Pradesh's politics, which has been dominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress, by organizing this rally. Kejriwal will be joined by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

The AAP intends to contest all 230 Assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh and is encouraged by its performance in the urban local body polls in July-August 2020, in which it claimed to have gained 6.3% of the vote share. The AAP had also won the mayor's post in Singrauli in the state's Vindh region. AAP leaders have stated that the party has worked hard to ensure that one lakh people from Madhya Pradesh attend the rally.
