Welcome to the ABP News LIVE for Saturday, March 13, 2021: Bharatiya Janata Party is scheduled to hold a meeting of its Central Election Committee on Saturday for finalizing a list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls.
Initial discussion to shortlist names of the party candidates for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly polls began at BJP president JP Nadda's residence on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary of West Bengal submitted a report to the Election Commission on Friday regarding the alleged attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The report sent by the Bengal government to the Election Commission does not mention the claim of attack by four-five people. An official of the State Election Commission revealed the development. However, the presence of a large crowd at the scene has been mentioned in the report.
In the first meeting of the Indo-Pacific alliance - Quad - the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) informed, it has been agreed upon that American Covid vaccines will be manufactured in India with the financial support of Japan and logistical support by Australia.
Quad decided to expand the coronavirus vaccine manufacturing capacity in India with all the leaders being firm with the commitment. It is being reported that India is likely to increase its manufacturing capacity by 1 billion doses by next year. Currently, India manufactures two vaccines - Covieshield and Covaxin - to battle the coronavirus.

The ruling Trinamool Congress party may release its manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections tomorrow. Sources have revealed the update while Trinamool is yet to make any official announcement about the same. TMC was supposed to release its manifesto on Thursday, but it was postponed after party supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was injured in Nandigram on Wednesday evening.
