Today, i.e. January 7 2022, PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the second campus of Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI) in Kolkata today at 1 pm through video conferencing. CNCI was facing the burden of huge number of cancer patients and the need for its expansion was felt for some time now. This need will be met through the second campus.

Hearing on the matter of lapse in PM's security in Punjab will be held in the Supreme Court today. The Supreme Court has listed it as the first case. A bench of Chief Justice Ramana, Justice Suryakant, and Hima Kohli will hear it at 10.30 am. The organization named Lawyers Voice has demanded the SC to take a report on the incident and direct action against the culprits.

 Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday announced that it has constituted a committee to probe the “serious lapses in the security arrangements” during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Punjab’s Ferozepur.

The Election Commission of India will hold a key meeting today. During the meeting to be held today, it is possible to discuss in how many phases and how to conduct elections in different states. Prior to this, the Central Election Commission has been discussing this issue continuously for 3-4 days. The biggest concern is how to conduct the elections in the Corona era. During the meeting held recently, there was also discussion on how corona can be stopped from spreading by banning large rallies and public meetings.

Kalicharan Maharaj Granted Bail, Still To Remain In Judicial Custody

Inflammatory Speech Case | Kalicharan Maharaj was granted bail by Pune court today on a surety amount of Rs 25,000 However, he will continue to remain in judicial custody for his alleged derogatory remarks against Mahatma Gandhi. Pune Police are sending him back to Chattisgarh.
