PM Modi To Interact With CMs On Covid Situation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with chief ministers on the emerging COVID-19 situation in the country on Wednesday through video conferencing. According to reports, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has prepared a detailed presentation for the conference.
PM Modi will interact with CMs on the COVID-related situation in the country through video conferencing tomorrow at 12 noon, an official told news agency PTI.
The meeting comes days after PM Modi urged people to stay alert to the threat from the coronavirus and continue to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour such as wearing masks and frequently washing hands.
Mamata To Chair Emergency Meet As Heatwave Scorches Bengal
Western and southern parts of West Bengal sizzled on Tuesday as heatwave conditions scorched the state, prompting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to convene an emergency meeting on Wednesday.
In view of the heatwave conditions, the state government issued guidelines, asking people to take all forms of precautionary measures.

The ruling TRS's 21st Foundation Day in Hyderabad on Wednesday is likely to spell out the party's roadmap ahead of next year's Assembly polls and throw light on Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao's more prominent national role.
Coming amidst his efforts to stitch up an anti-BJP bloc to take on the saffron party juggernaut in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, the event is also expected to act as a stage from where the party's poll bugle for next year's Assembly elections would be sounded.
AIIMS Nurses Strike: Delhi HC To Hear Matter On Wednesday
Delhi High Court on Tuesday directed the AIIMS Nurses' Union to ensure that its member nurses, who are on strike since morning, immediately rejoin work, and said that the nurses must place the interest of patients above and beyond their dispute with the administration.
The AIIMS Nurses' Union had earlier announced an indefinite strike with effect from Tuesday morning demanding that the suspension of its President Harish Kajla be revoked.
A detailed hearing in the matter has been scheduled for Wednesday.
