Taj Mahal Bomb Threat: Agra Police Inspect The Monument After Receiving Phone Call About Explosives Being Present Inside Premises

bomb scare at the Taj Mahal located in Uttar Pradesh's Agra district triggered panic on Thursday after which several tourists were immediately evacuated from the world-renowned monument of love

Agra: Chaos was witnessed outside the Taj Mahal after Agra Police received a phone call from an unknown person saying that a bomb has been placed inside the monument. Tourists and visitors were evacuated out of the monument immediately and the nearby shops were closed after police got to know about the situation.

 The police were informed by an unknown person that explosives have been placed inside the Taj Mahal. UP Police took immediate action and traced the phone call. The person is now under Police custody. which has now been taken into custody. During interrogation, the youth told that the man was upset about not getting a job.

According to sources, a search operation is being conducted in the entire premises of Taj Mahal, the bomb squad is also present at the site. There has been a stir in the area since this incident.

A Satish Ganesh, IG, Agra spoke to ABP News and said that the information about the bomb inside the Taj Mahal is false and police have nabbed the person. 

All possible locations in and around the Taj Mahal were checked by the CISF, Agra police, and a bomb disposal squad. Taj Mahal was temporarily shut for conducting the searches but police have now ensured that there is no threat to anybody and the information was false. Taj Mahal doors have been opened now for the visitors.
