BJP Sets Eyes On 9 State Polls As PM Modi Marks Day 1 Of Top Party Meet With Grand Roadshow

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party's two-day National Executive meeting began on Monday to discuss the party's strategy for the upcoming Assembly and 2024 general elections and more. The roadshow was held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi prior to the start of the meeting at the NDMC Convention Centre. As he passed, a few cultural performances were held along the roadside.

The meeting was attended by numerous high-ranking officials, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Railways Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw, Nadda, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and his counterpart in Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, among others.

35 Union Ministers, 12 Chief Ministers, 37 regional heads, and 350 party workers joined the PM in the National Executive.

Exhibition To Highlight Ram Temple Construction, Party's Welfare Work

Nadda met with state in-charges and co-in-charges from all over the country before the meeting. In addition, he opened an exhibit at the Convention Center with a variety of themes.

An exhibition that was put on by the BJP at the location of its national executive meeting, which got underway focused on cultural nationalism as well as the ongoing construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The exhibition was organised around six main themes, including "flag bearers of culture," which showed how the party preserved and restored India's ancient culture by rebuilding the Kashi Vishwanath and Mahakaleshwar temples and the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The BJP also talked about how Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making India into a "vishwa guru" in the exhibition.

Nirmala Sitharaman Speaks On Opposition Claims Against PM Modi

During the session, Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman addressed reporters and launched an attack on the opposition, claiming that their claims regarding a variety of issues have failed to produce any evidence.

"The opposition accused the Prime Minister through baseless claims on Pegasus, Rafale, ED, Central Vista, Reservation, and Demonetisation... but he had to face the court," Sitharaman stated.

Ravi Shankar Prasad Speaks On Country's Accomplishments Since 2014

Prior to speaking to the media, Ravi Shankar Prasad, a party leader and former Union minister emphasised the country's accomplishments since 2014.

He stated that India has led in a number of areas, including the production of automobiles and cell phones.

"India has surpassed England to become the fifth largest economy in the world. It is the second-largest manufacturer of mobile devices. "He stated that we are now exporting cellphones made by her after importing cellphones in 2013 and 2014.

Ensure Party Does Not Lose Any Of 9 State Polls In 2023: Nadda 

J P Nadda, president of the BJP, told PTI on Monday that the nine state assembly elections scheduled for this year are crucial in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He also asked the party's national executive to make sure it does not lose any states.

Ravi Shankar Prasad briefed reporters on Nadda's address to the BJP's most important body, whose two-day meeting began on Monday in New Delhi. According to Prasad, the party president noted that the current year was very important in the lead-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In order to guarantee that it will return to power at the center in 2024 for a third term, the ruling party has been carrying out a number of activities to strengthen its organisational structure.

In his private speech, Nadda praised India's progress under the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The party president stated that the daily highway construction has increased from 12 kilometres to 37 kilometres, making it the world's fifth-largest economy, second-largest mobile phone manufacturer, and third-largest auto manufacturer.

He added that the nation has also worked to empower the poor through a number of welfare programs, including the free grain program.

Nadda described the party's recent victory in the Gujarat assembly elections as "extraordinary and historic," describing it as a significant accomplishment to have won more than 150 seats in the 182-member assembly.

He stated that while the party lost to the Congress in Himachal Pradesh, the vote gap between the two parties was less than one percent.
