Bihar: Bhojpur Deputy Mayor Basant Singh shot at in Arrah

Bhojpur: Deputy Mayor of Bhojpur Basant Singh was shot at by unidentified assailants in Arrah, Bihar on Wednesday. Singh was out on a stroll around 5 am in the morning, when two men on a bike opened fire on him. "I went for my regular morning walk. Two people on a motorcycle fired two shots. I thought a tyre had burst. Then I felt pain and realized that I was shot. I don’t have any grudges against anyone. But I intervene to get justice for poor. Yesterday 7-8 people came to my office. I know the people who are being suspected behind this," Singh said. The police has launched a manhunt to nab the assailants, who are on the loose.
