Bihar: Bhojpur Deputy Mayor Basant Singh shot at in Arrah

Bhojpur: Deputy Mayor of Bhojpur Basant Singh was shot at by unidentified assailants in Arrah, Bihar on Wednesday. Singh was out on a stroll around 5 am in the morning, when two men on a bike opened fire on him. ALSO READ: From Panchsheel to ‘High Fives’ Gravely injured, especially in the hip, Singh was rushed to the nearby hospital, where the doctors decided to send him to Patna for further treatment. "I went for my regular morning walk. Two people on a motorcycle fired two shots. I thought a tyre had burst. Then I felt pain and realized that I was shot. I don’t have any grudges against anyone. But I intervene to get justice for poor. Yesterday 7-8 people came to my office. I know the people who are being suspected behind this," Singh said. The police has launched a manhunt to nab the assailants, who are on the loose.
