Will Work Together For Growth Of Punjab: PM Modi Congratulates CM Bhagwant Mann

New Delhi: A flurry of reactions from politicians cutting across party lines poured in as Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann took oath as Punjab Chief Minister on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured Mann that the Centre would work with the AAP government for the state's growth.
"Congratulations to Shri Bhagwant Mann Ji on taking oath as Punjab CM. Will work together for the growth of Punjab and welfare of the state's people," Modi tweeted.
Governor Banwarilal Purohit administered the oath of office to Bhagwant Mann in the swearing-in ceremony that took place at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.
The Aam Aadmi Party swept the Punjab assembly polls, winning 92 of the 117 assembly seats.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated Bhagwant Mann and wished that Punjab developed further under his leadership.
"Congratulate Shri Bhagwant Mann on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of #Punjab. I wish under your leadership, the State develops further with the support of people of the state. Best wishes," Patnaik, also the BJD president, said.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin greeted Mann and said his state and Punjab share "a long history" of being vocal about linguistic rights and rights of the states.
"Tamil Nadu and Punjab share a long history of being vocal about linguistic rights and rights of the state in the Indian Union. Wishing the new government in Punjab a successful tenure," Stalin tweeted.
