Amarinder Bashes Pakistan’s Federal Minister; Says ‘Stop Trying To Interfere In India's Internal Matter’

Replying to Chaudhary’s tweet, Punjab Chief Minister said that Indian Army is a disciplined and nationalist force unlike the Pakistani Army.

New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday lambasted Pakistan’s Federal Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhary for his tweet appealing Punjabis in Indian Army to deny duty in Kashmir, and asked him to stay away from India’s internal matter. Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Hussain said in a tweet : “I appeal to all Punjabis in Indian army to refuse to be part of injustice/zulm and deny duty in Kashmir.” Replying to Chaudhary’s tweet, Punjab Chief Minister said that Indian Army is a disciplined and nationalist force unlike the Pakistani Army. He asked Fawad Hussain to stop trying to interfere in India’s internal matter. Singh, who served in the Indian Army in the 1960s, told the Minister in the Imran Khan-led government that his provocative statement will not work. “Stop trying to interfere in India's internal matter. And let me tell you that the Indian Army is a disciplined and nationalist force, unlike your Army @fawadchaudhry . Your provocative statement will not work, nor will the Soldiers in our Army follow your divisive diktats,” he said. The chief minister recently reiterated that Kashmir was an internal matter of India and Pakistan should not link it with diplomatic or trade ties between the two nations. India on Monday revoked provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution, withdrawing special status to Jammu and Kashmir, and bifurcated the state into two Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. Pakistan protested against India’s move and decided to downgrade its diplomatic ties with India. India has been maintaining that its decision on Jammu and Kashmir was an internal affair aimed at ensuring overall welfare of the region.
