AIMIM Chief Owaisi to men who cut Muslim man's beard: We'll convert you to Islam and make you grow beard

New Delhi: Days after a Muslim man’s beard was cut and was forcibly clean-shaven by a few men in Gurugram, All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen leader Asaduddin Owaisi said that he will include the accused in Islam and make them grow beard. Condemning the incident, Owaisi said “Muslim man's beard was shaved off. Those who did it, I am telling them and their fathers, even if you slit our throat, we'll be Muslims. We'll convert you to Islam and will make you keep beard:” Soon after the incident, the victim Yunus; who was dragged to a barber shop filed an FIR against the accused on August 2. Later, three people were arrested after the man besides being forced to shave, was also thrashed following an altercation in Gurugram's Sector 29. Speaking on the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Gurugram (Crime) Sumit Kuhar said, "Three persons including the barber have been arrested by the police on the incident that happened on July 31. This is an isolated incident and no organization is involved in it."
