Ford Endeavour prices go higher by up to Rs 1.62 lakh
New Delhi: Striking a perfect balance between price hike and price slash, Ford India has upped the prices of the Endeavour model to as high as Rs. 1,62,000. Recently, the American carmaker’s Indian subsidiary slashed the prices of the Figo hatchback, the Aspire sedan and also the EcoSport.
The Ford slashed as much as Rs. 1 lakh of the Figo and the Aspire, while subsequently upping the price of the Endeavour by up to Rs. 1,62,000. Both Trend and Titanium trims as well as the manual and automatic transmission variants get the price hikes.
The Titanium models, with the 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre engines, get a price hike of Rs. 50,000. The Ford Endeavour endures the second price hike this year, after the Ford last revised its prices high in March, early this year.
So now, the 2.2-litre, 4X2 Titanium with Automatic Transmission gets priced at Rs. 27,50,800 and the 3.2-litre 4X4 Titanium with Automatic Transmission gets priced at Rs. 29,76,800, after the price hike. These two are the best-selling variants of the Ford Endeavour, as they drive volumes for the Ford.
Ford India has increased the prices of almost all the variants of the Endeavour to up to Rs. 1.11-1.62 lakh, since launch. Out of the Trend variants, the Trend 2.2-litre 4X2 MT received a hike of Rs. 1,36,801 to now cost Rs. 25,00,800 from Rs. 23,63,999, set during launch. Similarly, the Trend 2.2-litre 4X4 MT and the 3.2-litre 4X4 AT are now sold at Rs. 26,60,800 and Rs. 27,65,800 respectively, both getting a hike of Rs. 1,11,800. The 3.2L 4X4 AT also goes higher by Rs. 1,11,800 to now get priced at Rs. 27,65,800.
Of the Titanium variants, the 2.2-litre 4X4 Titanium now shows a price of Rs. 27,50,800, after the price has been hiked by Rs. 1,36,800. It was the top-spec 3.2-litre 4X4 Titanium that had the highest rise in price with Rs. 1,61,800 to now cost Rs. 29,76,800.
Ford Endeavour is powered by the 2.2-litre diesel mill that makes 158 bhp and 385 Nm of torque. The other engine is the 3.2-litre diesel motor that generates 197 bhp of power and 470 Nm of torque. The downsized mill gets gearbox options of a 6-speed manual or transmission. The upsized engine gets only automatic transmission as standard.
