Indore: At the time when Country is facing acute shortage of vaccines, medicines, beds, medical gas and health care staff due to surge in Covid-19 cases, a horrifying incident has been reported where vaccines against Coronavirus and medicines for treating Black Fungus, were damaged in a fire at a godown in Madhya Pradesh's Indore.

According to media reports, the incident took place at Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited warehouse. As soon as the authorities took notice of the incident, several fire brigade were rushed to the spot. It took about 45 minutes to douse off the fire at the godown. 


Concerned authorities are investigating the matter. The exact reason for fire is yet to be ascertained. 


The incident has happened at the time when the country is in dire need to health care facilities to curb the spread of deadly Coronavirus. India on Monday witnessed a steep decline in the number of fresh Covid-19 cases as the country recorded below 3 lakh Covid cases after 26 days.

The country reported 2,81,386 new COVID19 cases, 3,78,741 discharges and 4,106 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry.
