Delhi Court To Hear Manish Sisodia's Bail Plea On March 10
The Delhi Court will hear the bail application of Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia on March 10 in connection with the Delhi liquor or excise policy.
Earlier today, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested the former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister after questioning him for two days about alleged money laundering while developing the new liquor policy, which was scrapped after Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to look into it.
The ED arrest complicates matters for Sisodia, who is seeking bail from the CBI court. The ED will present him in court tomorrow, the same day his bail hearing is scheduled.
During Sisodia's custody, the CBI questioned him with his former secretary C. Arvind and then Excise Commissioner Arava Gopi Krishna in connection with suspected excise policy manipulation.

The third session of the National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (NPDRR), which brings together all stakeholders to examine the most recent advancements and trends in disaster risk reduction, will be originally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 10, 2023.
Over 1,000 distinguished guests, including Union Ministers, State Ministers of Disaster Management, Parliamentarians, Heads of Local Self-Governments, Heads of Specialized Disaster Management Agencies, Academicians, Representatives from Private Sector Organizations, Media, and Civil Society Organizations, will attend the NPDRR session, which will be held here on March 10, 2023, according to an official statement.
The session's topic is "Building Local Resilience in a Changing Climate," which aligns with the Prime Minister's 10-point strategy to improve local capacity, particularly in the context of a fast changing catastrophe risk scenario in the aftermath of climate change.
