PM Modi To Lay Foundation Stone Of 3 Delhi University Buildings Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually lay the foundation stone of three buildings of the Delhi University on June 30 and release a set of coffee table books. These buildings are for the faculty of technology, a computer centre and an academic block, and these will be 7+1 storeyed with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
"Looking forward to joining the University of Delhi's centenary celebrations. As a premier centre of learning, DU has been nurturing talent and fostering intellectual growth for a century. Congratulations to the DU fraternity on this milestone," PM Modi tweeted.
Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan will be the guest of honour for the ceremony.

Rahul Gandhi To Continue With Manipur Visit Today
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will continue with his visit to violence-hit Manipur on Friday.
Rahul Gandhi landed in Imphal on Thursday and started for Churachandpur to meet the victims of ethnic riots. Police stopped Rahul Gandhi in Bishnupur, citing the possibility of fresh violence along the way.
The police blockade prompted Congress supporters to stage a protest at the spot. The protest gradually escalated to a scuffle and police had to resort to tear gas firing to disperse them.
Rahul Gandhi then took a state chopper to Churachandpur and visited the relief camps set up at a school and a college there. He spoke with the victims of the riots and even shared lunch with children at one of the camps. Around 200 people are currently taking shelter at the relief camps.
"The three buildings for which the prime minister will lay foundation stone are the computer centre and the faculty of technology (North Campus) and academic block at Maurice Nagar. These buildings would be completed in the next two years," he said.
