Arvind Kejriwal To Hold Rally In Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra On April 23

Arvind Kejriwal, national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister, will address a rally in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra region on April 23.

Notably, on April 22, BJP national president JP Nadda will host a roadshow in Kangra.

Kangra has the most Assembly seats (15 out of 68) in the state. The BJP had won 11 seats in Kangra in the previous election.

Anoop Kesari, the AAP's Himachal Pradesh head, and Satish Thakur, the party's general secretary, have just joined the BJP. Union Minister Anurag Thakur was a key figure in the defection.

4 Planets To Parade Behind Moon On April 23

Observing a single planet in the sky with the naked eye is always exciting. The pleasure of seeing four planets in a row would be out of this world. This week, skywatchers will be treated to a celestial feast when Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn form a row in the sky in a 'planet parade.'

Beginning April 23, the moon will lead a parade of planets across the predawn sky. Four planets are lined up behind the moon like ducks in a row in preparation for an extraordinary alignment of the solar system's five visible planets.

Saturn, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter will all be visible above the horizon in the northern hemisphere in the early morning hours on April 23. In mid-June, Mercury will join the parade of planets.

Superstar Singer 2 Premieres On April 23

Superstar Singer has returned for a second season on Sony TV after a successful first season. Superstar Singer 2, which gives young singing talent from throughout the country a platform, will launch on April 23 and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m.

Prity Bhattacherjee of Kolkata was the season one winner of Superstar Singer. After a two-year hiatus, the programme is back. The first season of the reality programme garnered a fantastic reception, which may have persuaded the producers to return back a second season.

Jahangirpuri Violence

Members of the local peace committee in Jahangirpuri's C-Block on Friday urged for peace and unity in the neighbourhood, as residents from two groups hugged each other and resolved that such occurrences would not happen again, news agency PTI reported.

Locals present at a news conference at Kushal Chowk said they will do a 'Tiranga Yatra' in the region on Sunday to symbolise togetherness.

A member of the Muslim community, Tabrez Khan, said, "We want to live in harmony. We will ensure such incidents are not repeated. We request the police to reduce force and barricading."

"This (violence) incident is really concerning. Please do not believe in rumours. Communal clashes have happened here for the first time. We must ensure they are not repeated," a representative of the Hindu community and Resident Welfare Association president Inder Mani Tiwari was quoted by PTI in its report.

Maharashtra | An accident took place between a truck and a cruiser vehicle near Saigaon on Latur Ambajogai road. Eight people died on the spot and eleven are seriously injured in the accident and have been admitted to the hospital: Ashok Kharat, Bardapur Police A.P.I.

Delhi Witnesses Slight Jump In Daily Covid Caseload, Logs 1,094 Infections

Delhi reported 1,094 fresh COVID-19 infections and two deaths due to the disease on Saturday as the positivity rate rose to 4.82 per cent, according to data shared by the health department.

A total of 22,614 Covid tests were conducted in the city a day ago, the data showed. The COVID-19 infection tally in the national capital now stands at 18,73,793 and the death toll at 26,166.

Mumbai Logs 72 Fresh Covid Cases, No Deaths. Active Tally Now 503

Mumbai on Saturday reported 72 COVID-19 cases, a slight rise in the daily addition after a fall for two consecutive days, a civic official said.

The metropolis had reported 68 cases on Friday, a sizable dip from 98 on Wednesday, which was the highest for April so far, and 91 on Thursday, he pointed out.

The tally in Mumbai stood at 10,59,213, while the death toll remained unchanged at 19,562, he said.
