While presenting the Delhi Budget 2021-22, Sisodia announced free COVID-19 vaccines for Delhi citizens at government hospitals. He also said that the Delhi govt intends to increase city's per capita income to Singapore's level by 2047. Moreover, the Delhi govt allocated Rs 10 crore for programmes on Bhagat Singh's life during 75-week 'Deshbhakti' events and Rs 45 crores to install 500 Tricolours across Delhi.
The death toll in the massive fire that broke out on the 13th floor of a multi-storey building at Strand Road in Kolkata, West Bengal, on Monday evening, mounted to 9 on Tuesday morning. PM Narendra Modi expressed condolences and approved an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakhs each from Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the tragic fire in Kolkata. Rs 50,000 would be given to those seriously injured.
Thane Municipal Corporation has announced to imposes lockdown in COVID hotspot areas from March 13 to March 31, 2021. So far, 16 areas have been identified as hotspots in Thane. According to the reports, Municipal Commissioner Dr Vipin Sharma issued the Lockdown orders stating that decision was taken due to rise in COVID-19 cases in these areas in the past few days.
