Bypoll For Asansol Lok Sabha Seat To Be Held On April 12
The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced in March 2022 that a bypoll for the Asansol Lok Sabha constituency, as well as four assembly seats, will be held on April 12.
Ballygunge (West Bengal), Khairagarh (Chhattisgarh), Bochaha (Bihar), and Kolhapur North (Maharashtra) are the assembly seats where bypolls will be conducted on April 12.
The bypoll ballots will be counted on April 16.
First Commercial Flight Of Made-In-India Dornier Plane On Dibrugarh-Pasighat Route On April 12
The Ministry of Civil Aviation stated on Monday that the Centre-run Alliance Air will deploy the made-in-India Dornier 228 aircraft for the first time on the Dibrugarh-Pasighat route on 12 April, Tuesday.
Alliance Air has agreed to lease two 17-seater Dornier 228 aircraft from the government-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
Alliance Air acquired its first Dornier 228 aircraft on April 7. Dornier 228 aircraft are still solely employed by the military forces.
The airline stated in a statement that its inaugural flight will fly on Tuesday between Dibrugarh in Assam and Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh to improve connectivity in the northeastern regions.
Pak Issues 2,200 Visas To Sikh Pilgrims From India
Pakistan has granted 2,200 visas to Indian pilgrims in order for them to attend the Baisakhi celebrations, which will take place at several Sikh sites in the neighbouring country from April 12 to 21.
“During their visit to Pakistan, the pilgrims would, inter alia, go to Panja Sahib, Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib. They would enter Pakistan on April 12 and would return to India on April 21, 2022,” a statement from the high commission of Pakistan stated.
The annual Baisakhi festival is set to take place in Pakistan from April 12 to 21, and the high commission reports that the newest visas for Indian pilgrims, as well as visas for Sikhs living in other countries, have been given.

Authorities on Tuesday placed former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti under house arrest in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar city preventing her from going to Anantnag district.
