Bihar STET Exam 2019 Result Goes Viral With Actress Anupama Parameswaran Photo, Tejashwi Yadav Retorts
Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Bihar Assembly also jumped into the debate targeting the administration and the state government saying no vacancy in Bihar is being filled up without malpractices
New Delhi: Scams are not new in Bihar, and a new scam has surfaced two days after the state’s education department released the results of the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET), 2019, in which a candidate’s result has gone viral on social media.
The result of the candidate named Hrishikesh Kumar, containing scores in three subjects Urdu, Sanskrit, and Science under Paper-1 of STET, 2019, has gone viral as the result contains a picture of the Malayalam actress Anupama Parameswaran.
Declared in March 2021, the result didn’t show the scores of three subjects being uploaded due to some technical issues. As soon as the picture of the result went viral, candidates who had appeared in the examination came out strongly alleging that large-scale malpractices have been adopted at the time of preparing STET results 2019.
Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Bihar Assembly took a dig at the state government over the incident. He said no vacancy in Bihar is being filled up without malpractices.

The Opposition leader blamed the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar for ruining the lives of crore of youth by rigging examinations. In retaliation to Yadav’s allegation against the Bihar government, the ruling Janata Dal (United) leader Ghulam Gaus said that “small mistakes keep happening”, especially when the results are being announced for a large number of students.

“The mistake will be rectified and we are trying our best to provide employment to a large number of people in the state,” he said.
After qualifying STET paper I, candidates will be eligible to teach classes 9 and 10 and the candidates who qualify for paper II are eligible to teach classes 11 and 12.
It is not the first incident in the state where the state-level exam results contained a picture of an actress. Earlier in 2019, Bollywood actress Sunny Leone was seen topping the merit list released by the Bihar Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) for the post of junior engineers with 98.50 points. Later, the department rectified it considering the mistake.
