Sidharth Shukla, Sonia Rathee
What happens when two personalities from two different worlds come together? You can expect fireworks, sparks and a lot of drama. After all, opposites attract. At one glance, ‘Broken But Beautiful 3’ would look like the same typical romantic saga wherein the hero and heroine suffer heartache after painting the town red with their romance. But it has a lot to offer. You just need to go with the flow.
The plot revolves around the love story of an aspiring writer-director, Agastya Rao and his muse, Rumi Desai. The two don’t start off well but eventually come closer after spending time at the backstage of a theatre show. (We promise to not give any more spoilers)
The opening episode gave us a glimpse of Agastya and Rumi’s meeting and successfully established their respective characters. The key ingredients for any successful romantic show are melodious songs, good looking couple with crackling chemistry and a nice plot. ‘Broken But Beautiful 3’ is a chaotic pool of emotions where both Agastya and Rumi are busy chasing their obsessions.
We loved how director Priyanka Ghose has used theatre as the backdrop for the series.
Sidharth Shukla and Sonia Rathee have created ripples with their scorching chemistry. In case you are a Sidharth fan, you definitely need to call the fire police as the ‘Bigg Boss 13’ winner has set the screens on fire with his scintillating chemistry with Sonia.
Sidharth, who has played several memorable roles on the small screen, essayed the multi-layered character of Agasyta with perfection. He is the soul of ‘Broken But Beautiful 3’. Thanks to his impressive performance, you stay connected with the initial episodes.
‘Damaged, scratched and flawed,’- Rumi aptly described her character in a monologue. She is not perfect but yet relatable. Sonia Rathee shines in her debut show. The debutante makes her character likeable even when she craves for attention from her ‘dream boy’ Ishaan Mathur.
The soulful music is refreshing and sets the tone of the story. ‘Yeh Kya Hua’ plays in the background while Rumi and Agastya are together in a scene.
This broken love story leaves a beautiful impression and makes for a perfect watch if you are a romantic at heart. ‘BBB 3’ is the perfect blend of sweet and savoury and promises to take you on an emotional roller coaster ride of love, healing and heartbreaks.
