World Youth Skills Day 2022: History, Theme, Significance & Messages To Share With Friends

Every year, the World Youth Skills Day is based on a particular theme decided by the United Nations. Last year it was celebrated under the theme 're-imagining youth skills post-pandemic'.

World Youth Skills Day is observed every year on July 15 to celebrate the importance of equipping the young minds with technical and strategic skills required for employment and their better future. United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) recognised July 15 as the World Youth Skills Day in 2014. 

The young minds are the backbone of any progressive nation as they can learn and develop new skills easily and take the country towards development. Recognising their contribution will only add confidence to their growth.

World Youth Skills Day: History

In 2014, United Nations General Assembly declared July 15 as the day to recognise and empower the youth for their skills, so that they can contribute their part in the development of the world. Since then, this day is celebrated every year to provide a unique opportunity of dialogue between the young minds and the Institutes which provide them with the required skills and make them industry and employment ready.

World Youth Skill Day: Significance & Messages

World Youth Skills Day 2022 provides an opportunity to young people to hone their talent by participating in various competitions organised by training institutes taking part in the event. It is also an opportunity for the government to encourage larger participation of women and people with disabilities so that they get a fair representation at workplace in future.

Here are some of the messages that you can share with your friends and colleagues to make them aware about the importance of developing and learning skills.
