Tourism Ministry Launches Campaign To Showcase India As Premier Wedding Destination

This initiative is built upon a comprehensive strategy that encompasses digital marketing, social media promotions, partnerships with wedding planners, collaborations with influencers.

The Ministry of Tourism has embarked on a wedding tourism campaign, aimed at harnessing the vast potential of India's thriving wedding sector. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Developing Tourism in Mission Mode," the Ministry of Tourism issued a press release detailing their efforts to position India as a top-tier global wedding destination, the ministry said in a statement.

G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, unveiled the campaign, emphasizing its all-encompassing approach to ensure that every facet of a couple's wedding journey, from the first greeting to the final vows, embodies India's cultural heritage and warmth.

Holistic Strategy:

This initiative is built upon a comprehensive strategy that encompasses digital marketing, social media promotions, partnerships with wedding planners, collaborations with influencers, and both physical and virtual events, the statement said. This multifaceted approach aims to redefine the perception of India's wedding offerings, moving beyond opulent and regal ceremonies, it added.

The campaign spotlights an array of wedding themes, ranging from serene beach and nature weddings to regal ceremonies and Himalayan nuptials, allowing couples to tailor their dream celebration in captivating settings, it said.

Collaborative Approach:

According to the statement, the campaign boasts a collaborative methodology, developed through consultations with industry experts, associations, and seasoned wedding planners. Their insights have contributed to crafting a narrative that highlights India's allure as a wedding tourism hub, showcasing its cultural diversity and richness. Initial attention is focused on 25 prominent destinations nationwide, it said.

This campaign strives to interweave India's ancient heritage with contemporary elegance, underscoring the harmonious blend of customs, values, and jubilation that the nation offers, generating an irresistible proposition for couples worldwide.

Samit Garg, President of EEMA (Event and Entertainment Management Association), lauds this initiative for its forward-thinking. Collaborative partnerships with industry professionals are integral to realizing Prime Minister Modi's vision, the statement said.

Incredible India: Wedding Tourism

The "Incredible India" wedding tourism campaign aspires to display India's splendour and variety as a premier wedding locale on the global stage. "Leveraging an extensive strategy and focusing on diverse wedding styles, India strives to entice couples from across the globe, invigorating both the wedding sector and the broader tourism industry," the statement said.
