The First Lady Olena Zelenska and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's photoshoot was done by the celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz

New Delhi: Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy who has been lauded across the world for his heroic tactics and humanitarian approaches in rebuilding his country post the war with Russia is now being trolled online. Zelenskyy and his wife First Lady Olena Zelenska posed for a digital cover for Vogue magazine and their photoshoot has gone viral on the internet. Social media users have called out how 'shocked', 'bewildered' and 'disappointed' they are in the President of Ukraine especially at a time when the country is reeling under a huge economic, political and social crisis. On the other hand, a section of the internet supports them.

The First Lady and President's photoshoot was done by the celebrity photographer  Annie Leibovitz and was shared by Olena Zelenska on her official Instagram accounts.

In a series of pictures which were shared, we see Olena standing amidst soldiers on duty, while in another we see her sitting on the stairs of a huge underground structure with sacks all around. In another set of pictures, we see Olena and Volodymyr Zelenskyy sit together in close embrace.

Olena also shared a long post along with the picture. She wrote, "To be on the @voguemagazine cover is a great honor and dream of many successful and prominent people of the world. The only thing I wish for all of them is that it is not because of war in their countries."

"And now I would like you to see every Ukrainian woman here, in my place. Who fights, volunteers, settles in a refugee camp, does her job under the sound of a siren, holds on under the occupation. She has the right and deserves to be on the covers of the whole world. Each of you, fellow Ukrainian women, is now the face and cover of our country," her post continued.

While a section of the interent trolled the power couple, many wished them the best and praised their strength during these trying times.

A user wrote, "Strong people strong minds 🇺🇦🫶🏻," while another said, "best couple stay strong."
