'Nobody Can Stop Him...': BJP After Threat Letter Against PM Modi's Kerala Visit

Threat letter to PM Modi: Kerala BJP president Surendran said that SPG will protect the life of the PM.

“PM's Kerala visit will be held very smoothly. SPG will protect the life of the PM,” said Kerala BJP president K Surendran after a threat letter was received by BJP party office against PM Modi's visit. PM Modi is scheduled to visit Kerala for two days from April 24.

K Surendran, BJP Kerala President on threat letter to PM Modi ahead of his Kerala visit said, “The Special Protection Group (SPG) is the most efficient security agency in the world. PM's Kerala visit will be held very smoothly. SPG will protect the life of the PM...Nobody can stop him (PM). The program will be a great success.”

On April 17, a letter sent by the one Joseph Jonny of Ernakulam reached BJP office. The letter claimed a life threat to PM Modi. The Kerala BJP members handed over the letter to the police.

The police narrowed down on Jonny but the latter claimed no knowledge about the letter. The BJP said that it was baffling to note that an intelligence report of Kerala police mentions strong presence of terrorist and anti-national forces in the state.

However, K Surendran welcomed PM Modi on his social media. He said, "As the sun rises over the bustling streets of Kerala, there is a palpable sense of excitement & anticipation in the air. On the 24th we are hosting a very special guest, a man whose influence reaches beyond the borders, whose leadership has captivated the world. #KeralamAwaitsModi."
