Kerala Govt Convenes Emergency Cabinet Meeting As Multiple Migrants From State Killed In Kuwait Fire
The primary agenda for the emergency meeting includes the repatriation of the bodies of those affected in Kuwait fire accident.
In response to the recent Kuwait fire accident, the Kerala government has convened an emergency Cabinet meeting to address the urgent situation. The meeting commenced at 10 AM this morning, chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, according to the Chief Minister's Office.
The primary agenda for the emergency meeting includes the repatriation of the bodies of those affected in the mishap and the consideration of dispatching ministers to Kuwait to coordinate relief efforts on the ground.
After the emergency meeting, Kerala government announced Rs 5 lakh financial assistance to families of Keralites who died in Kuwait fire accident. They also informed that Kerala Health Minister Veena George would leave for Kuwait to coordinate treatment of injured and return of bodies of deceased.
