Trial Run Of Karnataka's Second Vande Bharat Train Between Bengaluru And Dharwad Begins

According to the South Western Railway, the trial run of the Vande Bharat Express, which would consist of eight coaches, will depart Bengaluru at 5.45 AM and arrive in Dharwad at 12.40 PM.

The South Western Railway is executing a trial run of the Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru and Dharwad on Monday. According to top executives of the South Western Railway (SWR), the train will be dedicated to the public on June 26, news agency PTI reported. According to the South Western Railway, the trial run of the Vande Bharat Express, which would consist of eight coaches, departarted Bengaluru at 5.45 AM and will arrive in Dharwad at 12.40 PM.

The semi-fast luxury train will leave Dharwad at 1.15 p.m. and arrive in Bengaluru at 8.10 p.m.

The train will make three brief stops during the trial run at Yashwantpur, Davangere, and Hubballi.

According to SWR sources, 90% of the track has been upgraded to allow the train to go at 110 km/h.

"Out of 489 km track, 386 km are fit for 110 kmph speed. The rest will be upgraded by July this year," a senior Railway official told PTI.

This will be Karnataka's second Vande Bharat Express, following the Mysuru-Chennai route. It would operate between Bengaluru and Dharwad.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate five new Vande Bharat Express trains simultaneously on June 27, marking a significant milestone in the country's railway infrastructure. The new Vande Bharat Express trains will run on a variety of routes, including Goa, Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore, Bhopal-Jabalpur, and Bangalore-Hubli-Dharwad, news agency ANI reported citing official sources from the Ministry of Railways. With these additions, the total number of Vande Bharat trains operating on the country's rail network will rise to 23.

The introduction of these technologically advanced trains aims to make commuting in these cities more convenient and comfortable. The Vande Bharat Express trains are well-known for their modern amenities, speed, and efficiency, and they provide passengers with an unforgettable travel experience.
