'Students Don't Have To Write Lots Of Exams': Karnataka BJP Leader Ashwath Narayan Defends NEET

Karnataka BJP leader CN Ashwath Narayan defended the implementation of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and emphasized its role in simplifying the examination process for students. Narayan highlighted the prolonged legal battle in the Supreme Court and the subsequent victory that enabled the NDA government to enforce NEET nationwide. Further, he alleged that DMK ensured NEET did not get implemented in Tamil Nadu in order to get more unaccounted money.
On Neet Exam Row, BJP leader CN Ashwath Narayan said, "With regard to the NEET exams, the matter was heard in the Supreme Court for more than a decade... After much discussion, the NEET was a way forward and it was a solution so that students don't have to write lots of exams."
"One exam to assess the performance of the student. It was student-centric keeping the interest of the students in mind... In the NDA government, the NEET was possible, the case was won in the SC and it is being implemented," he said.

Further, the BJP leader alleged that DMK exerted pressure to get more unaccountable money in the absence of NEET. Welcoming the decision of TN Governor, he said, "The Tamil Nadu government yielded to the pressure of the management lobbies, to get more unaccountable money elections, they ensured that NEET does not get implemented in Tamil Nadu... The Governor has rejected this bill and it is a welcome decision..."
