The video shows two cars repeatedly hitting each other, while one of the cars purportedly hitting one of the members of the gang, who lay unconscious.
Sharing the video of the incident, an X user demanded "stringent action against the culprits."
Udupi SP Dr Arun K confirming the viral video said that the clip depicted the two factions from the same gang engaged in a clash, Times of India reported.
The video, taken by the resident of a high-rise near the scene of clash, showed two Maruti Swift cars involved in the fight.
According to the police, the clash erupted due to infighting within the gang, where one team felt that the other team’s jealousy was the reason for the gang’s failure.
A case has been filed at the Udupi Town Police Station on May 20 and two of those involved - Ashiq and Rakib, associated with the Garuda Gang- have been arrested, while four are absconding.
Moreover, the police have seized two cars, two bikes, a talwar, and a dagger. The Police, meanwhile, have formed a search team to find the four men who are on the run.
