This week, another road collapse event was reported in Bengaluru's Ashok Nagar. A portion of Mahalakshmi Layout Main Road caved in two days after pipeline works were carried out by Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board in the area.

In the impact of the mishap, a biker got injured.

Last week, another biker got injured after a portion of the road caved in on a busy stretch from MG Road to Shule Circle in Bengaluru.

"Right after that, the road caved in before the eyes of everyone and the five-meter-deep ditch appeared. Soon, the road was closed for public movement,” an officer posted at Ashok Nagar traffic police station told PTI.

In another mishap, the metro construction work resulted in the death of a woman and her three-year-old son. In the accident, the woman's husband and another son were also injured.
