Arvind Kejriwal in Bengaluru: Kejriwal's visit to Karnataka is touted as AAP's prep up for the 2023 assembly elections in the state

New Delhi: Buoyed by thumping victory in Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) wants to make its presence felt in Karnataka for the upcoming assembly election in the state in 2023. AAP Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is on a two-day trip to Karnataka, appealed to the people of Karnataka to vote for AAP in the upcoming Assembly elections in the state if they want an honest government.

"4 lakh students came from private schools to govt schools this year. Medical treatment for 2Cr people is free in Delhi. Earlier, there were power cuts for 8 hours, now people get electricity supply for 24 hours with zero bills," news agency ANI said, quoting AAP convenor Kejriwal.

"PM made the CBI raid my residence, officials entered my bedroom but they couldn't find anything, eventually, PM gave me the certificate of 'imandaar' CM. Ours is honest govt, we made it in Delhi then in Punjab now we'll form govt in Karnataka," he added.

Kejriwal is taking part in a farmers' rally in Bengaluru, on the invitation of Karnataka Rajya Raita Sangha (KRRR) chief and farmer leader Kodihalli Chandrashekhar. The farmers' leader has joined AAP in the presence of party convenor Kejriwal at National College Grounds in Bengaluru.

While addressing the farmers' rally, Kejriwal sought farmers' support to topple the "40 per cent government". He reiterated that a corruption-free government could offer several services for free to the people. "We have to close the 20% and 40% commission accounts of these governments," Kejriwal said, as quoted by Deccan Herald.

Launching a scathing attack on the ruling BJP, he said, BJP has welcomed rapists and goons into their fold. "AAP, however, is a party of gentlemen, patriots and honest people," Kejriwal said, according to Deccan Herald's report.

Kejriwal's visit to Karnataka is touted as AAP's prep up for the 2023 assembly elections in the state.
