We are united: Congress downplays Digvijaya's remark on CM post in MP
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 30 (ANI): The Congress on Saturday downplayed senior party leader Digvijaya Singh's remark on his post in the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls, saying all grand old party's ministers are united, aiming to save the people from Bharatiya Janata Party's bad governance.
Speaking to ANI here, state Congress spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi said, "I agree with Digvijaya Singh's statement that party's top leadership will decide who will be the party's chief ministerial face in the next assembly elections. As far as Congress is concerned, whether it's Digvijaya Singh, Kamal Nath or Jyotiraditya Scindia - all are united and they aimed to save the people from the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) bad governance."
Resonating similar views, leader Manak Agarwal said we all are united and aims to make Congress party government in Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier in the day, Singh said that he is not a potential contender for the chief minister's post in the assembly polls, adding that party's top leadership will decide that who will be the party's chief ministerial face.
Both Nath and Scindia were seen as top contenders for the CM's post for the upcoming polls, which are due next year. (ANI)
