RSS pays homage to Amarnath Yatra victims
New Delhi [India], July 20 (ANI): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has paid homage to the devotees of Amarnath Yatra who lost their lives in a terrorist attack earlier in July.
"It is a matter of great regret that devotees have died due to the attack by terrorists in this year's journey and also to the victims of the bus that fell in the trench," the RSS said in a statement.
"We offer our condolences to the families of the dead and it is our prayer that the departed souls find peace," the statement added.
As many as seven people were killed and fifteen others injured after a group of terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying 17 pilgrims from Baltal to Mir Bazar on July 10.
In a separate tragedy, around 16 people died and 27 others injured after a bus, carrying Amarnath Yatries enroute Pahalgam, fell into a deep gorge on July 16. (ANI)
