Piyush Goyal flags off Mahamana Express via video conferencing; interacts with passengers
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 22 (ANI): Railway Minister Piyush Goyal along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off the Mahamana Express in Varanasi, through video conferencing.
Goyal, inaugurated the service at the Vadodara Railway Station in Surat.
Soon after that, Railway Minister interacted with the passengers on board and inquired about the facilities needed.
Speaking to ANI, Piyush Goyal said, "I am delighted to flag off the Mahamana Express, which is the longest in Uttar Pradesh. The train will ply from Vadodara to Surat and then to Varanasi. There a numerous facilities which will be provided in this train. Currently, more than 800 passengers are travelling in this train now. Also, passengers travelling from Surat to Vadodara will not have any problem here after".
Earlier in the day, the Railway Minister visited the National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR) in Vadodara. (ANI)
