Parrikar thanks well-wishers post recovery
Panaji (Goa) [India], Feb 22 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who was hospitalised at the Lilavati Hospital on February 14 for mild pancreatitis, thanked his well-wishers after his recovery.
The Goa Chief Minister was present at the state Assembly to present the budget on Thursday.
"I am overwhelmed by the over pouring of your love and affection. It fortifies my conviction that Goa and Goans are my extended family. It is your wishes and prayers which have helped me to recover speedily and returned to Goa. I reiterate my commitment to serve the state and the nation today and always forever, indebted," read an official note.
The official note added that the Chief Minister has been advised of some precautions for the time being.
"For complete recovery, I have been advised by the doctors some precautions in the immediate short term. During this period, my interaction with the public will be limited. However, I will be discharging my regular duties and obligations as a Chief Minister of the state," it further read.
The Chief Minister, who went to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for a health check-up for apparent food poisoning, was later taken to the Mumbai hospital for further examination. (ANI)
