PACCFED elections: SP leader accuses BJP of foul play
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 11 (ANI): Samajwadi Party leader Totaram Yadav on Wednesday accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Uttar Pradesh for not allowing him to file the nomination for the post of director in Processing and Construction Cooperative Limited (PACCFED).
Speaking to ANI, Yadav said that the election officials didn't allow him to obtain the nomination form and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sarojini Nagar also refused to file a complaint in the connection.
"The administration had fixed 12 noon as the last slot for filing the nomination. I reached the venue at 11:15 am but was denied entry into the premises," said Yadav
Outraged by the alleged conspiracy, the Samajwadi leader torned his clothes in front of the office.
After witnessing the incident, the police deployed on the site took Totaram away from the nomination room.
Notably, Totaram was the former chairman of PACCFED and had gone to Lucknow to fill the nomination for the second tenure.(ANI)
