Chandrababu Naidu allots students involved in 'Swachh operations' with extra 25 marks

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 28 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday suggested to give students involved in Swachh operations extra 25 marks for extracurricular activities.

Speaking on the benefits of the state, Naidu has introduced few schemes like,

-Swachh Andhra Mission: This mission will cater to build 22 lakh personal toilets in the state by March 2018.

-Real time governance: This will involve public grievances collected through 1,100 call center and measure will be taken up for them. This caters to inclusive growth that should be attained in all welfare and development programs. E-office and biometric will be implemented at all levels as it will bring transparency in each department. Performance of all departments will be assessed through real time governance. Focused work by officials can yield quick and better results.

-Mission for students: The Chief Minister opined that college students be encouraged to take up social works like Swachh Bharat as their project works. 5 percent marks be allotted to such projects. Another 5 percent marks be allotted for personality development. Vice Chancellors of all universities should take appropriate action in this regard. Also, achieving 80 percent public satisfaction will be the aim.

Meanwhile, all the ministers, chief secretary and higher officials congratulated Naidu for winning the Golden Peacock Award in UK.

The Chief Minister said it was the result of team work. He also explained the highlights of his foreign trip and the benefit for the state. He later added that Andhra Pradesh will have the world's best secretariat and administrative city built at Amaravati. (ANI)
