'Beta Paida Kara Hai, Gadha Nahi': Students' Favourite Teacher Neetu Singh Tells Parents

Ideas Of India 2024 Summit: Neetu Singh, a notable figure, advised the parents not to burden their children with dreams.

Ideas Of India 2024:  On the first day of 'Ideas Of India Summit 3.0', the third edition of ABP Network's flagship event, Associate Professor, Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi Vijender Singh Chauhan, and Founder, KD Campus & KD Live, Author and English Teacher Neetu Singh threw light upon the kind of pressure children are facing regarding career choices and the aspirations of thir parents.

Speaking during the event, Neetu Singh said that the parents should not burden their child with their own dreams. (aapne beta paida kiya hai gadha nahi (you have given birth to a son and not a donkey).

"I want to tell the parents that don't burden the children with your dreams; you have given birth to a son and not a donkey. I have always said that, be it a son or a daughter, he or she will do something in life and do it well. Your responsibility is to just educate him, provide good opportunities, and send your child to a good place to study. If you can, he will do it, and he will do it well. Most of the children just wake up to fulfill their parents' dreams," Neetu Singh.

Speaking on the matter Vijender Chauhan said that the burden of dreams should not be imposed on the children as he or she is not a "project child". "I would like to add to what Neetu just said, don't give the burden of your dreams to your child, they are not a "project child." While taking interviews, we come across students whom you can see and tell that he or she is a "project child". The child was first sent to Kota, from there to IIT, and then to IIM and IAS, the father is sending. The social media algorithms and AI have thrown the faces of Vijender Chauhan and Neetu Singh time and again to put in the minds of the parents that there are only a handful of career choices," Vijender Chauhan said.
