Omicron Symptoms In Kids: The world has been in disarray because of covid-19 for almost two years now, and the new variants are adding to the troubles of people. One such variant is Omicron. The Omicron variant has been detected in about 57 countries in the world.

So far, India has confirmed 23 Omicron positive cases. Although the virus is being said to spread faster due to its multiple mutations, there is not much information available about its severity and impact on vaccine efficacy.  

Some research studies have suggested that Omicron is increasingly being reported in children. According to the experts, this could be a big challenge for the world considering the availability of vaccines for children.

The Omicron variant was first detected in South Africa. Since the detection of the new variant, scientists are studying it closely to identify more details about it. While many omicron-positive patients have shown mild symptoms, there are some unusual symptoms found in children infected with the Omicron variant.

Unusual Symptoms Of Omicron In Children

- High fever

- Persistent dry cough

- Extreme Fatigue

- Headache

- Sore throat

- Loss of Appetite  

Prevention

- Keep children away from crowded places.

- Make sure children are masked everytime they go out.

- If symptoms appear, get them tested as soon as possible.

- Isolate yourself as soon as you are found positive with infection.

- Get children vaccinated as soon as vaccines are approved for children.
