Delhi Witnesses Dip In Covid-19 Cases, Logs 799 Fresh Infections, 3 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

New Delhi: The national capital on Monday reported 799 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours with 3 deaths and 1,366 recoveries. The cumulative positivity rate in Delhi currently stands at 4.98 percent, according to the data shared by state health department. As compared from Sunday, there has been a dip in cases as well as the postivity rate in the city. On Sunday, Delhi had reported 1,422 fresh cases of Covid-19 and the cumulative postivity rate was at 5.34 percent.
Adding up the new cases, the aggregate Covid-19 infection tally in Delhi has reached 18,95,053, while the death toll stands at 26,182, the data showed.

A total of 16,187 samples were tested for coronavirus in last 24 hours in the national capital.
Covid-19 cases in India
Meanwhile, nationwide Covid-19 infection numbers also recorded a slight drop as the country reported 3,207 new cases. India's active caseload currently stands at 20,403 which is 0.05 percent of the total cases, as per the data by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In the last 24 hours, 29 people succumbed to the infection taking the countrywide death toll to 5,24,093 while 3,410 people were reported recovered from the virus.
The daily positivity rate in the country has also reached closer to 1 percent and currently stood at 095 percent. The weekly positivity rate has also reached to 0.85 percent.

Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra
On sunday, Maharashtra reported 224 new cases of Covid-19 taking the state's infection tally to 78,79,278, while one death raised the toll to 1,47,847, the health department said. 196 people were reporte recovered taking the cumulative recovery count to 77,30,127.
24,349 tests were done across the state taking the total count to 8,03,79,421.
