Moradabad Vaccine Controversy: Ward Boy's Death Due To Cardio-Pulmonary Disease; Family Alleges Vaccination Worsened Health

A vaccine centre at Moradabad has run into controversy after death of a 46-year-old ward boy a day after taking the jab. The family members have alleged that the authorities did not conduct a pre-vaccination medical test of the victim.

Covid-19 Vaccine: Sparking a huge controversy around the Covid-19 vaccine on day 2 of India’s massive inoculation drive, a 46-year-old man who worked as a ward boy in a district hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad, died a day after taking the vaccine. The post mortem report of the man has revealed that the immediate cause of death was 'cardiogenic shock/septicemic shock' due to 'cardio-pulmonary disease'. 

The ward boy named Mahipal Singh was inoculated with the Covid shot on January 16 at the district hospital. The family members of the deceased have claimed that after getting the jab, his health worsened after which he was rushed to nearby hospital, but he died a day after. He complained of uneasiness in chest, breathlessness and cough.

The family members have also alleged that before being administered with a Coronavirus vaccine, the authorities did not conduct a medical test on him. The Chief Medical Officer of Moradabad, who went to meet the grieving family, informed that he was feeling uneasy in chest and was facing difficulty in breathing.

Speaking to ABP News, Mahipal’s son has alleged that the “unsafe” vaccination led to the death of his father and said that he holds all those conducting the drive, for the mishap. Another relative of Singh also stated that he died because of the Coronavirus vaccine as he wasn’t in a bad shape before taking the jab.

There are six vaccination centres in Moradabad and on the maiden day of the vaccination drive, as many as 100 health-workers were vaccinated at each centres
